Pregnancy is a time when most women become acutely aware of what goes into — and onto — their bodies. You're reading labels, researching products, thinking carefully about every decision. So when it comes to grounding, it makes sense to ask: is this safe? And is there actually any benefit?

The short answers are yes, and yes. Here's the longer version.

 

What grounding does for the body

Grounding connects your body to the earth's surface charge — a mild negative electrical current that research suggests can reduce inflammation, support the nervous system, and improve sleep quality. These aren't niche claims; they're the subject of peer-reviewed studies published in journals including the Journal of Inflammation Research and the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine.
